This sculpture is focusing on the Bird of Peace, wounded by war. Feathers are like small arrows piercing the clean, white, pure body. Blood runs from the wounds, black denotes the singeing destruction of blackened earth after the destruction from burnt out fires. Red = blood and white is the Asian colour of Death and Mourning. There is a glint of gold on one side of her feathers, a slight ray of hope perhaps. Her feathers are ruffled like the country before, during and after the last election. Though wounded she stands, head held high, proud and hoping for a future Peace.
